Part-time | Remote | 20–30 hours/week | Weekdays 9–5 ET | 1099 Independent Contractor | Individuals only — no agencies
Lisa Damico Portraits is a luxury portrait studio based in Alexandria, Virginia, specializing in online dating photography, personal branding, headshots, and elevated portrait experiences—creating glamour-cover-worthy images and delivering a seamless client experience from first inquiry to final delivery.
Our work is fun, high-touch, and deeply rewarding: clients often arrive unsure and leave with photos they’re genuinely excited to use—and, in many cases, a whole new level of confidence. The magic our clients feel doesn’t happen by accident; it’s created through meticulous planning, strong systems, and thoughtful execution behind the scenes.
With you in this role, the business runs smoother, clients feel supported at every step, and exciting new ideas move from concept to execution without things slipping through the cracks. You are a key contributor to the growth of the studio—not just support staff.
This is a key role on the team and the operational backbone of the studio.
You will take ownership of day-to-day operations, client experience workflows, scheduling, and backend systems to ensure everything runs smoothly and nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll work closely with the owner to execute, refine, and improve how the business operates—supporting both ongoing client work and new initiatives as they come online.
This is a part-time 1099 contract role, typically 20–30 hours per week. While there may be occasional lighter weeks, 15 hours is the minimum and will be rare. Most weeks will be closer to 25+ hours, particularly during onboarding, busy seasons, and project or launch weeks.
Work is remote, with optional onsite opportunities in Alexandria, VA (not required).
Consistent availability and responsiveness Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM ET is required. This role cannot be done primarily outside business hours or alongside another full-time job.
As the business continues to evolve, so will this role. You’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility, help improve systems, and play a meaningful part in supporting the studio’s growth.
Reliable follow-through — you do what you say you’ll do, without reminders
Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy matters, and you catch what others miss
Ability to work independently and figure things out — you take initiative and use good judgment
Strong organization with a systems-first mindset — you think in workflows, checklists, and processes
Proactive problem-solving — you spot issues early and move them forward
Speed without sacrificing accuracy — you work efficiently while maintaining quality
Ability to manage time under deadline pressure — you juggle multiple timelines with confidence
Take pride in your work — you care about doing things well, even when no one is watching
Warm, professional communication — clients feel supported and informed
Emotional intelligence — you navigate people and situations with steadiness
Focused and disciplined — you stay on task and follow through
Optimistic and engaged — positive energy is a plus, not a substitute for execution
This is a fast-paced role in which you will manage 10–15 clients in various phases of the photoshoot process simultaneously, taking full ownership of the client experience from start to finish.
